home stead |
This totally modern, purpose built, wind and solar
powered home sits on 40 acres, on a ridge over-looking a peaceful,
private valley. Make it a tranquil base from which you fill your
days with all that Nelson District offers:
For those seeking adventure there are jet-boating,
white water rafting, sky-diving, sea or river kayaking, parachuting,
rock-climbing, horse riding, or scenic helicopter rides, all within
an easy drive.

A secluded beach in the Abel Tasman NP |
For more leisurely activity, discover the nine
golf courses in the region, cast your flies in one of our renowned
trout fishing rivers, walk some of the beach trails of Abel Tasman
National Park, or the mountain forest trails of Nelson Lakes National
Park. Or just lie on one of our golden sand beaches, soaking up
the sun. On a rainy day, (we DO have them occasionally) there are
the WOW Museum of Wearable Art and Antique Cars, or the workshops
and galleries of dozens of local artists and craftspeople to visit.
Or join the wine trail to try some of the region's crisp whites
or smooth reds.
For memorable meals out, Nelson is a bountiful
enclave of award winning restaurants and trendy cafes.

Carolyn Suite |
Come home, sun-tanned and happy, to your comfortable
ensuite room. It features sliding doors opening to a private stone
patio where you can sit peacefully with a good book, watch the sun
set golden over the peaks of the Western Ranges, or gaze down the
valley to the ocean. Only the twitter of skylarks or the occasional
bleat of a lamb will interrupt your reverie.
If you like, join us at cocktail hour for a drink
and nibbles, or coffee and a chat. We enjoy getting to know our
guests.

Your Hosts |
After a restful night's sleep, breakfast is served
at a time to suit you, and may be taken in the dining room or on
the patio. Choose from a fresh continental style or scrumptious

and turn right onto the access road at 336. We are up the hill and
around the left hand curve at the top to the last house on the right,
